The challenge
NTS wanted to create an engaging broadcast format that went beyond standard music interviews, offering listeners a way to learn about the history and influences of electronic music directly from the artists who define it.
The approach
The show expanded into live experiential formats, including a David Bowie-inspired 'Synth Oddities' broadcast live from the SONOS flagship store, in an event featuring high-profile guests like Iggy Pop, David Holmes, and Neneh Cherry.
The outcome
'The Synth Hero Show' became a beloved, constantly evolving historical document of electronic music. The archive of mixes continues to inspire NTS audiences, serving as a permanent audio DNA chain of the genre.
